NXT Tag Team Championship match contract signing

Contract signings tend to have the same formula and as such, can be really good or really bad. This one fell into the “really good” territory. The crowd was very much into it and the segment showed a serious side to the Street Profits, something that elevates their status as champions. It was a good back and forth between the teams as well so this match should deliver.

Hype-Ups

We got some video packages for Velveteen Dream vs Roderick Strong vs Pete Dunne and Mia Yim vs Shayna Baszler.

Amazing work as always from the Full Sail crew!

Grade: A-

Shane Thorne vs Joaquin Wilde

This match was pretty good. Since the demise of TM-61/The Mighty, I’ve been a little worried about Thorne but he turned it up here. He’s a great worker, just needs a little something special to really get himself over.

Winner: Shane Thorne

More video packages

They hyped up the match between Io Shirai and Candice LeRae. They also showed Harley Race’s package.

Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain

No match here as Dain attacked Riddle during his entrance. That means we get more of this feud and I am definitely okay with that!

Last round of video packages

They hyped up the NXT Breakout Tournament finals between Jordan Myles and Cameron Grimes. Fandango and Tyler Breeze talked and the Fashion Police will face the Forgotten Sons next week. They gave us a big video package for the NXT Championship match between Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole.

I’m so glad Fandango and Breeze are back together! Also, the package for Cole vs Gargano III was amazing.
