This Sunday live on Fite tv from Chicago Odeum theatre IMPACT Wrestling presents their biggest pay per view of the year Bound for Glory and here’s a few matches that have caught my attention.

Let’s start by taking a look at the Knockouts Championship match between the Longest Reigning knockouts Champ in history; Taya Valkyrie who officially became the longest reigning champ a few days ago. She has been champion for 282+ days after defeating Tessa Blanchard at Homecoming PPV in January, she will be defending that title against Tenille Dashwood who debuted during the Mexico city TV tapings last month. She immediately made an IMPACT and sent a message straight to the champion by delivering the Spotlight kick to John E Bravo and raising the Knockouts Championship high up in the air, although Tenille was involved in a short rivalry with Madison Rayne & Kiera Hogan it was announced that Tenille will be facing Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts Championship & that will take place on October 20th. When this match was first announced I was excited but right now I feel like it’s too soon for Tenille to become knockouts Champion which is something that’s going to happen, possibly at BFG but I don’t particularly want to see that because there are more deserving Knockouts like Havok & Sü Yung but I think we’ll have to wait & see

Now let’s talk about the amazing trios match scheduled between the Rascalz & their opponents of the legendary Dr. Wagner Jr & his partners Areostar & Taurus, 6 highly talented men & a dream match I didn’t know I wanted. The Rascalz are the best trio in IMPACT today and are surley destined to be tag team champions. Dr Wagner Jr is well known in this Buisness and is one of the most well known luchadores, aerostar never fails to impress & the same can be said for Taurus. Both guys you’ll know if you’re an avid watcher of IMPACT or Triple AAA. This Match has me excited because who knows what these 6 will pull out for this event, it’s surely going to be something very special.

Another dream match scheduled for this show will be between “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin & Marafuji from Pro Wrestling Noah, I was very suprised to hear this match hasn’t already taken place given the amount of time the two spend in Japan. Marafuji spent a lot of time in IMPACT during 2017 and teamed with Taiji Ishimori at Slammiversary in a multi team tag team title match made up of teams from many different promotions, Elgin debuted at the Rebellion pay-per-view earlier this year and instantly made an IMPACT by taking out the new world champion Brian Cage. Big Mike challenged for the world championship at Slammiversary in July, although he didn’t come away with the win he had a very hard hitting feud with Rhyno shortly after then as soon as that was done Elgin called out Marafuji, it took a couple of weeks but Marafuji accepted the challenge & the match was set. It should be very exciting & I know they can both deliver.

Of course we can’t forget Moose vs Ken Shamrock in what should be a pretty hard hitting match with plenty of punches being thrown although I am a little worried that perhaps Ken isn’t as good as he once was. Which is understandable considering his advancing age but Impact are taking a risk with this match because they will catch a lot of negative press if it doesn’t live up to people’s expectations which is why I’m hoping it’s just a fight. There’s no doubt Shamrock can still handle himself & with Moose enlisting Frank Trigg to assist with his training I think we can expect to see a straight up fight/ wrestling match.

Finally I’m thoroughly looking forward to the World championship Match between current world champion Brian Cage and possibly one of the best heels in Wrestling today #TheDraw Sami Callihan. It’s safe to say Sami should have held a championship in IMPACT last year, Brian Cage would probably be the first to admit that his world championship run hasn’t been the best but that’s unfortunately due to injury. Cage was undergoing surgeries and different treatments to try & get himself back to 100%, which he seems to be at this point but whilst Cage was away Sami was making history along with Tessa Blanchard by having one of the best feuds of this year. At Unbreakable; Sami defeated Tessa in a number one contenders match which is one of my favourite matches & although Sami won via shenanigans he is still deserving of the opportunity to become world champion. I can’t wait to see how this match pans out, Particularly as these past two weeks have raised the stakes as Sami has assaulted Cages wife Melissa Santos once with a Champagne bottle & most recently Piledriving her whilst Cage was handcuffed to the ropes. Cage has also been arrested, this feud has been a perfect world championship feud build up & of course there’s a looming threat of Tessa Blanchard particularly if She becomes X Division Champion at Bound for Glory she has the option of relinquishing that title in exchange for an opportunity to become world champion. (Option C)

Thanks for reading this was just a few of the matches of Bound for Glory that have caught my attention & look very exciting, Bound for Glory is building as something special & I know impact can deliver. Catch BFG on Fite tv October 20th it won’t disappoint.
