Another excellent weekly installment of IMPACT aired last night and what a show it was. Everyone involved put their all into every single match and every single segment, there was something for everyone in the show just like there is every week.

MOOSE Def. FALLAH BAHH

I have to say I’m quite relived over the result of this match, although it would have been nice to see Bahh pick up another huge win I’m glad Moose came out the victor because due to his character change it’s important he looks strong and has a lot of momentum behind him so he can really get pushed into the world title picture.
The match was a strong opener and Bahh looked very strong and it’s clear his weight loss has boosted his confidence and agility. Moose looked great as well and although there were a few moves that didn’t land the way they should have the two work together very well and I think we can put the missed moves down to fatigue considering they filmed a months worth of shows in 2 days.

Very good match: B

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer delivered a heart felt promo to Tessa Blanchard in order to convince her she needs his help with oVe. It’s clear whenever tommy speaks about the wrestling Buisness he’s speaking from his heart, it’s real and he loves Wrestling he can also see that Tessa is the future and the present.

After the break, SU Yung delivered a cryptic message to Havok. I couldn’t understand it but it gave out strong horror movie vibes as the undead bridesmaids carried a coffin into shot with Havok’s name written on it. I hope this is all leading to a last rights match between the two at Bound for Glory.

Madison Rayne & Kiera Hogan Def. Alexia Nicole & Jordynne Grace.

Another great match by all involved and superb heel work from Rayne & Hogan who are showing themselves as quite the tag team. Alexia Nicole put in a good showing as the newest edition to the division although it’s clear she still has a few more things to learn there’s plenty of potential there, she reminded me of Kiera Hogan in her early days for the company in that she’s very good but still has more to give.

Grace didn’t get much of a look in during this match due to Rayne & Hogan cutting the ring off very well and keeping Nicole at bay. She would eventually get the tag and just over powered both her opponents like we know she can. It would however be Madison Rayne picking up the win for her team after delivering a Cross Rayne to Nicole whilst Grace & Hogan brawled outside.

Great work by all involved: C

After the match, Rayne & Hogan put a post match beat down in the ring on Jordynne Grace but the lights go out and When they come back up Rosemary is standing in the corner and receives a huge pop from the Windsor crowd as she deals with Rayne & Hogan forcing them to retreat up the ramp. I’m unsure where this is going but I think it has to end with Madison vs Kiera at Bound for Glory, Hogan goes over the veteran on the way to becoming knockouts Champion.

Backstage, Ace Austin fools Alisha Edwards into thinking her husband attacked him and even fools security. Eddie starts laying punches into Ace as he lays on the floor trying to gain sympathy from Alisha. Security pulls Eddie off and as everyone’s back is turned Ace sits up and taunts Eddie by smirking and showing his Card from up his sleeve. A good segment, not really my type of thing but as long as this leads too a great match between Eddie & Ace at BFG maybe with Alisha as special Ref it’ll be worth it.

A very funny segment next that was filmed on a beach with the Knockouts champion Taya Valkyrie, her dog Presley and John E. Bravo. In which Taya treated Bravo like a stooge making him do menial tasks like picking up after her dog and making him fetch a ball that he originally threw for the dog.

Rhino & Michael Elgin Brawl outside by the production truck but is swiftly broken up by security. Elgin breaks free and slams Rhino’s head into the door of the truck.

RVD, Rich Swann & Willie Mack Def. The Rascalz (Dez, Trey & Wentz)

My favourite match of the night by far, superb character work by all and a very funny start from the Rascalz as they argue who’s going to start the match with RVD first. Trey pushes his teammates back and starts but gets kicked in the head so swiftly tags out to Wentz, same thing happens again so in comes Dez who has the biggest smile on his face as he looks at Rob clearly he’s “Marking out” and asks Van Dam to kick him in the face and closes his eyes but Rob tags in the “Mack Truck” and he kicks Wentz in the face.

This Match had everything you would expect from these 6 guys, high flying, plenty of Kicks and great team work. In my opinion RVD should be put in tag teams with younger guys more often this was possibly the best I’ve seen from Rob since his return. I feel that was because he could rest and let his energy build, the crowd were very much into the match and everyone involved looked superb.

Brilliant Match: A

Backstage, The IMPACT World Tag Team Champions laid out a Challenge for Cali Combat next week. To any tag team from California and they’ve promised they will knock them back down just like they have done to every team they’ve faced. The North are a great Tag Team, they’re a throwback and are swiftly becoming my favourite champions in IMPACT.

Backstage The Rascalz, Mack and Swann are talking about their amazing match just as the X Division Champion Jake Crist walked on screen and accused them all of eyeing up his title. I hope that leads to a huge ultimate X match at BFG.

The Deaners Def. Desi Hit Squad (Class vs Trash)

This match was fine, again I’m not completely sold on the premise of the match in which the losers have to become slaves to the winners. The match itself was fine, DHS recently have been the best they’ve been in a long time and really are great heels. The Deaners are a great mix of semi athleticism and pure country strength thanks to cousin Jake.

An okay match: C-

Backstage, Dave Crist tells Sami Callihan that Mad Man Fulton won’t be ringside for their match because Jake had taken him to Arby’s.

Tessa Blanchard & Tommy Dreamer Def. oVe (Dave & Sami)

The match began quickly when Tessa & Tommy ran to the ring and both teams traded blow for blow. But this match was great, it had the veteran Tommy making the younger guys & girl look great & had brilliant heel work from oVe & it made you believe that Tessa Blanchard can be a world champion. All 4 involved had great story telling and played their parts very well & although a lot of this match was spent on the floor we still got to see a very good tag team main event.

If there are two things IMPACT know how to do very well it’s how to put on excellent tag team bouts and make their womens division be the best division in Wrestling today. Tessa would pick up the win after Sami took out the ref on purpose so as a second ref came out to help Blanchard climbed the top rope, Kendo stick in hand and delivered a Magnum to Dave Crist onto the Kendo stick which was placed across her knees.

That was very good booking, that way Tessa looks strong but Sami can still say Tessa hasn’t beaten him.

That was IMPACT, although there’s a couple things I’m not completely on board with I still enjoyed everything about the show. They never disappoint and I truly believe everyone should be watching, If you don’t have the channel they air on you can watch on http://Twitch.tv/IMPACTWRESTLING.

Thank you for reading.
