This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling was mixed in my opinion. There were a lot of great moments, but also had its fair shares of bad ones. While it did feature the great Demon Collar match between Su Yung and Rosemary, there were some over-the-top ridiculous moments that should never have happened, like Glenn Gilbertti winning a Knockouts Battle Royale by eliminating Tessa Blanchard. I really he gets his comeuppance in the end; otherwise this’ll feel like a wasted angle.

The show started out with a Knockouts Battle Royale featuring Kiera Hogan, Scarlett Bordeaux, Madison Rayne, Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, Alisha Edwards, Solo Darling, Carissa Rivera, Tasha Steels and Ashley Box. Before the match, Glenn Gilbertti came out to make something clear. When Scarlett beat him it was a once-in-a-lifetime deal. He says it’s hard enough to watch two women wrestle each other; but tonight there are ten. The only way people would be interested in this match is if it were a bra and panties match; but with he women who are in the ring, it’s better if they kept their clothes on. The Knockout promptly kick if out the ring. The Knockouts target Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace at the start of the match. Steels sends Blanchard in the corner with a hurricanrana. Edwards then attacks Steeles and tries to eliminate her. Darling then attacks Edwards and hits her with several strong kicks. Grace takes down Darling with a piledriver; and Rayne hits Grace with a crucifix bomb.

Tessa Blanchard eliminates Rivera and Box who were fighting on the apron. Blanchard and Edwards brawl in the middle of the ring and Edwards performs a DDT. Darling eliminates Steels. Blanchard eliminates Edwards by sending her over the top rope, landing on three eliminated wrestlers. Hogan eliminates Grace after she gets distracted by Blanchard. Rayne is standing on the apron.Taya Valkyrie runs to the ring and throws her off. Valkyrie proceeds to beat down Rayne. Hogan eliminates Bordeaux.

Hogan almost sent Blanchard over the top with a hurricanrana but both women end up on the apron. They brawl and Blanchard finally eliminates Hogan. Gilbertti runs to the ring and attacks Blanchard before throwing her off the rope rope. He then celebrates his “win”. Blanchard chases him off backstage.

Winner: Glenn Gilbertti

We see footage from the previous week after Impact went off the air. Michael Elgin attacked Willie Mack in the parking lot and powerbombed him into a truck.

Elgin was caught backstage and asked about the list of people he’s put in the hospital. He’s learned if you want something you have to take it for yourself. That’s way he sent Cage and Pentagon to the hospital. Mack was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Elgin admits he likes to hurt people. Swann steps to Elgin to defend Mack.

Rosemary vs Su Yung in a Demon Collar match

This was a really great match between the two in what has been a very intense rivalry. The match started quickly. Rosemary wrapped the chain around Su Yung’s neck and tossed her around the ring. She locks her on the rope and drops her to the ground. Rosemary then pulled the chain to choke Su Yung. Rosemary allowed Su to recover and pull her into the steel post. She took out of a chair, set it up and placed Rosemary on it. Su then took Rosemary out with a rolling senton from the apron.

There was a lot of back and forth and both competitors used the chain to mount some offense. It was a really great match.

Winner: Rosemary via pinfall. After the match Rosemary dragged Su Young out of the arena.

Melissa Santos is backstage to interview Madison Rayne. She asks about what happened earlier tonight. Rayne says she sees the games Taya’s playing because she’s mastered them. Taya is avoiding defending the Knockout’s Championship against her because Rayne can defeat her. Taya is doing everything to postpone the inevitable. Taya’s time is up.

Madman Fulton w/Sami Callihan vs Randy Shawn

Shawn attacked first with a few right hands, which didn’t phase Fulton. Callihan then screamed at Fulton to “Kill Him”. Fulton then there Shawn around the ring. Callihan then hit three chokes lames in succession, followed by an STO.

Winner: Madman Fulton via pinfall

Melissa interviews RVD backstage. RVD says it’s great to back in Philly. He says wherever he is, that’s the best place to be. Next week he’ll be wrestling Tommy Dreamer.

A doctor reveals Brian Cage has suffered a “significant spinal trauma” as a result of his match against Impact and the post match altercation. For most regular people, it would be a miracle for them to walk again. Cage is not a normal person, as he is walking. It would be medically irresponsible to predict if and when Cage could return to the ring.

Killer Kross vs Eddie Edwards

Killer Kross stole Kenny a few weeks ago in Toronto. Eddy Edwards tries to get him back and to exact some revenge. Eddy rushes to the ring. Kross jumps on him. Edwards fights back and sends Kross outside. He then performs a couple of suicide dives. Kross pound awards face to the mat then tries to go for a suplex. Edwards escapes and counters with a duplex of his own. Kross then hits him with a knee, and hits a clothesline. Edwards hit Kross with a hurricanrana followed by a shining wizard. He goes for the pin but Kross kicks out at one. Edwards gets distracts by Kenny. Kross hits him with a Doomsday Saito.

Winner: Killer Kross via pinfall. After the match Kross attacked Edwards and tied him to the ropes, before breaking Kenny in front of him.

Backstage, The Rascalz are freaking out about their upcoming Tag Team Title match. Des and Trey were fighting over who was going to eat a piece of chicken. Went announced he’s been vegan for a week. He says they have to eat properly and train for their upcoming match against LAX.

Backstage The North were arguing about what they were going to do about RVD. Moose interrupted them, He said for a great tag team, they fight a lot. Josh Alexander says it’s a tag team conversation and non of Moose’s business.

Michael Elgin vs Rich Swann

Elgin hit two shoulder tackles early on in the match. Swann goes for a hurricanrana but Elgin lands on his feet. Swann goes for a drop kick, followed by another hurricanrana. Elgin and Swann are fighting on the top turnbuckle. Swann manages to push Elgin off and goes for a crossbody but Elgin hits him with a dropkick. Elgin tries to go for the Elgin Bomb but Swann reverses it not a DDT. He goes for a dive to Elgin on the outside, then goes for another one. He then goes on the top rope and hits Elgin with a swanton. He throws Elgin back in the ring. He goes back on the top top and hits Elgin with an elbow. Back from commercial Elgin hits the blue thunder bomb but Swann somehow kicks out.

Swann tried to dive onto Elgin, but Elgin caught him and sent him spine first into the post with a powerbomb. Elgin picked up Swann and powerbombed him a second time. The referee warned Elgin that he’d be disqualified if he didn’t stop. Elgin shoved the referee and hit Swann with a third powerbomb into the steel post. The referee DQed Elgin.

Winner: Rich Swann via DQ. After the match Elgin kept on attacking Swann. Willie Mack ran to the ring to make the save.
