Swamp Monster Fatal-4-Way Lumberjack Elimination Match

Shotzi Blackheart def. Allie Katt, Kris Statlander & Saraya Knight

We had Lumberjacks dressed as swamp monsters, that literally sums up this match. Saraya Knight kicked off proceedings by insulting everyone and then throwing bombs, the swamp monster mostly caught the competitors flying out the ring. This wasn’t a technical wrestling match by any means; however, it was fun, daft and plain crazy, Allie got the win after finally eliminating Shotzi Blackheart.

Best 7 out of 13 Falls

Chris Brookes w/Lykos (7) def. Logan Easton Leroux (6)

Logan went 2-0 up within minutes after Brookes and Lykos handed out low blows, Brookes was shocked, after a back and forth with Lykos, Chris quickly recovers and submits then pins Leroux. Both competitors then went for multiple roll ups, it was suddenly 6-6 and the audience were so involved. Finally realising the score, Brookes sells a phantom low blow shot, Leroux is outraged, the ref then realises the ruse before Chris rolls up Logan for the victory. Just an amazing spectacle.

Orange Cassidy Invitational Scramble for a $16 Dollar Gift Card

Jigsaw def. Sonny Defarge, Tony DeppenJake Atlas, Dan Champion, Lucky 13, AirWolf

This was all kinds of great, Tony Deppen, Jake Atlas and Jigsaw all impressed with some great sequences, Deppen played up to the “no legs opponent” from the previous day. There was so much going on in this, was hard at times to keep up but overall this was full-on high-flying action. The front, second and third row seats were never safe, lots of bodies were flying, jigsaw to the audience approval got the win here.

It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere Drunk Death Match

Nate Webb vs Session Moth Martina – Double Pin

Nate Webb had the best entrance all weekend, he made his way to the ring with “Teenage Dirtbag” in the background, this was great. Session Moth Martina then made her entrance, she was hugely over with the audience, they loved her. They were drunk when the contest started, then every thirty seconds they had to chug, this was a glorious mess. They exchanged forearms while chugging, and submissions, then while smashed they KO’d each other via Double Clothesline, match ends via pin.

Dodgeball Challenge

Team Red – Veda Scott vs Team Blue – Faye Jackson

MJF stole the show here, he was the only participant who wasn’t picked, therefore he stormed off with the dodgeballs. It was great to finally see Faye Jackson wrestle, oh and by the way, after MJF stole the dodgeballs them match then had to be a wrestling match! The fans weren’t happy. It then became a first pin wins, Team Blue get the big victory.

Teddy Hart Promo

Teddy Hart accompanied by a cat, cut the strangest and most impassioned promo all weekend. Talks about his life, pro wrestling and cats, it ends with him somersaulting his cat into the air. Strangely entertaining.

Shinjiro Otani def. Jonathan Gresham

Another one of my favourite matches from the weekend, Otani was very good here and Gresham, who has become my new favourite wrestler was fantastic. Really good back and forth the technical brawl, Gresham was great here, playing a cocky, and at times out of his depth heel. Otani was the hero here, the audience loved everything he did, he hit Gresham and someone at ringside with multiple face washes. Otani grabbed victory with a great looking Spiral Powerbomb for a great ovation, both competitors gave respect afterwards.

1 Minute Iron Man Match

Trent Barretta (1) def. Chucky Taylor (0)

The attempted to lock up, the time ran out, the audience demanded five seconds more. Barretta then rolled up Chuck with a second remaining.

Yuletide Death Match

Nick Gage def. Ultramantis Black

I felt the show should have ended after Gresham/Otani, however this was a spectacular fitting end to this crazy show. Ultramantis seemed to take all the bumps in this one, Gage manhandled him all match. Mantis took some crazy bumps on the chairs, a Christmas tree with barbed wire and so forth. Nick Gage was super over here, the audience were super into everything he did. A crazy bump fest but very entertaining.

Really fun show, definitely worth seeking out and watching.
