Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

In the 6th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, we have some top, top competitors. Strowman, Andrade, Apollo Crews, the Hardy Boys & Ali among others. Oh, and we also have Colin Jost & Michael Che of SNL. Anyways, this is pretty tough to predict. I don’t think Strowman is going to win, nor the Hardy’s and probably not Ali. Therefore, I think this is between Andrade and Apollo.

Andrade wins. This was a really tough call for me, hopefully I get it right.

Buddy Murphy (Champion) vs Tony Nese – WWE Cruiserweight Championship

In my area of expertise, 205 Live, we see former buddies (excuse the pun), Buddy Murphy & Tony Nese face off after the two came to blows after Nese won the right to be entered into this match. I’ve been thinking through this match and I think I know who will win.

Tony Nese will win and NOT become the Cruiserweight Champion, I think Nese will win by disqualification as a desperate Murphy tries to hold onto his title.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Introduced last Mania, last year’s winner Naomi will be entering hoping for a second consecutive win. Anyways, I’ve narrowed down my list of potential winners to Nikki Cross, Deville/Rose, Ruby Riott or Asuka. I’m just going to take a blind guess at what I think the next title feud will be and therefore…

The winner of the match is Nikki Cross. Ok, so my thinking behind this is that Asuka just came off a title Reign, Riott has already feuded with Ronda Rousey & Mandy Rose has already feuded with former champ Asuka. Therefore, it was between Sonya Deville and Nikki Cross. As Rose & Deville haven’t broken up (yet), I don’t think its Deville’s time yet. Therefore, Nikki Cross is the only logical winner here.

The Revival (Champions) vs Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder – RAW Tag Team Championships

This match is not confirmed as of writing this but assuming this goes ahead, I think this will be a feel-good moment.

Winners, Hawkins & Ryder. I’m not sure whether Black & Ricochet will stay on RAW or move to SmackDown but if they do stay on RAW, I think they will beat Hawkins & Ryder to become champions. If that doesn’t happen, the Revival can easily win the titles back on RAW.

The Usos (Champions) vs Ricochet & Aleister Black vs The Bar vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev – SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Announced on this past SmackDown Live, I’m not sure who will win this. Realistically, any of these teams can win. And as I go on with my predictions, I’m realising just how hard this years Mania is to predict.

I think the Usos will retain. I’m really not sure on this and have no reasoning at all for this choice. Any of these teams could win.

Bobby Lashley (Champion) vs “The Demon” Finn Balor – Intercontinental Championship
I see just about everyone complaining about this match but I don’t mind watching it personally. As long as I’m entertained, I’m happy. With that out of the way, “The Demon” has been brought out for this match and you know what that means.

Finn Balor defeats Lashley and gains back the Intercontinental Championship.

Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin

In Angle’s ‘farewell match’, he takes on Baron Corbin, a personal favourite of mine. Corbin’s heel work is truly superb and he keeps improving in the wing. Whether or not this will actually be Angle’s last match we will have to see.

Baron Corbin to win. The heat, I would absolutely love this. Please let Corbin win.

Samoa Joe (Champion) vs Rey Mysterio – United States Championship

I’m not sure about this one. What I am sure about though, is that this match will be pretty darn good. I’m really looking forward to Joe getting in Dominic’s face and hurling abuse at him. Rey’s getting better with age so I’m sure he’ll pull off some ridiculous moves as always. I’m also hoping we can see lots of sentons and yurinages from Joe.

Joe retains. This one could go either way really. I do see Rey & Andrade feuding over the US title but just not yet, Joe needs some time to build back the prestige of the title and then we can get that feud. Or they could throw Andrade into the WWE Championship picture, I’m happy with either option.

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton

This is going to be a good one. Styles and Orton come to blows after confrontations in the last few Smackdown’s and I’m really excited for this. I’m just waiting to see how absurd an RKO we’re going to see. On Smackdown, we saw a phenomenal forearm countered into an RKO so we can cross that off. I’m trying to think of another ridiculous RKO… hmm, hopefully we can see one in the match.

Winner, AJ Styles. I’m not sure about this one either. I’m giving the win to Styles but this could really go either way.

Bayley & Sasha Banks (Champions) vs Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs The IIconics vs Nia Jax & Tamina – Women’s Tag Team Championships

In Bayley and Sasha’s second PPV defence of the titles, they face their toughest challenge yet. I think I can cross off Phoenix & Natalya and Jax & Tamina. We’re left with Banks & Bayley and the IIconics. I absolutely love the IIconics and I’ve got to support my home country ladies.

Winners AND NEW Women’s Tag Team Champions… the IIconics! Wishful thinking but I love these two and really hope they can pick up the victory here.

Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre

I’m really looking forward to this. In Reigns’ return to singles action (I’m pretty sure at least), he takes on the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre. This is going to be two huge big men slugging it out and I’m really looking forward to it. This could go one of two ways. Reigns wins and the crowd gives a huge pop… or, and my preferred option, McIntyre picks up a well deserved and very much needed victory.

Drew McIntyre wins. You see, McIntyre really needs this and it could really propel him right into the main event. Reigns on the other hand can be put back into the main event whenever. McIntyre needs this win.

Shane McMahon vs The Miz (Falls Count Anywhere)

Again, I’m really looking forward to this. The culmination of a feud which has been brewing since Fastlane, I’m really intrigued to see how Miz does in this match. We all know that Shane has had some great street fights and stipulation matches but The Miz, this isn’t really his forte. Miz has looked really strong the last couple weeks and managed to beat SAniTy in a 1-on-3 handicap match on Smackdown.

Shane McMahon wins. Simply as Shane has far more experience in this type of match and I think that Shane will finally pick up a Mania win after years of losses and close calls.

Triple H vs Batista (No Holds Barred)

Oh. My. God. In what was one of the greatest feuds in history, the two former Evolution stable members in Triple H and Batista face off for one last time. And really, it could be one last time as Triple H’s career is on the line. Batista’s four word promo on Raw was absolutely incredible and was the perfect end to the build-up for this match. The promos and exchanges between these two have been absolutely amazing. I’m really, really, really torn on this one.

Batista wins and as a result, Triple H’s in ring career is over (for now at least). God, I’m really looking forward to this match.

Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs Seth Rollins – Universal Championship

This is a real tough call. I’m really hoping Brock can retain so we can see Rollins move to Smackdown and turn heel. Honestly, I’m going to go for that.

Brock Lesnar retains. I have seen rumours of Brock losing and possibly attacking someone after their match and winning the WWE Championship. But those are just rumours…

“The New” Daniel Bryan (Champion) vs Kofi Kingston – WWE Championship

I’m sooo hyped for this. Really looking forward to see how this will turn out. Kofi is ridiculously over, just like his opponent, Daniel Bryan was years ago at Wrestlemania XXX. This is going to be really good, a possible match of the night contender. Though, this match is going to leave the fans drained for the main event.

Winner, AND NEW WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. And then he gets brutally assaulted by Big E after the match because we can’t have nice things.

Ronda Rousey (Raw Women’s Champion) vs Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Women’s Champion) vs Becky Lynch – Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championship

The first female main event in WrestleMania history sees ‘the Man’, Becky Lynch take on the established champions of Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. I’ve never wanted Lynch to win but she’s probably the most likely to win and I’m really sad about it. That’s not my prediction though.

Your winner and new RAW Women’s Champion, ‘The Queen’, Charlotte Flair! I’m going to go for Charlotte but if Ronda wins, that’s perfectly fine too.

That’s it for my predictions, have a great WrestleMania week everyone!
