Josh Holly w/ Daisee-Mae Love def. Brendan White

This was a result not many expected, the ever-improving Brendan White was dominant in this contest and arguably should have won. Brendan was strong, fast, and aggressive and was in control of the contest throughout, he never looked in any danger. Josh fought back when the opportunity presented itself and had some good offence, but personally I didn’t see him winning this one. Brendan has been so vocal and active on social media on his intentions this year, that a victory for him was the right result. This was a solid opening contest and both wrestlers exhibited their skills, it seemed as if Brendan would win here but Josh caught him off guard and rolled him up for the surprise win. Following the match Brendan turned his frustrations back at Holly in a vicious beat down.

New Wave Title

Elijah © def. Danny Jones

Danny Jones was the latest challenger to Elijah’s New Wave trophy, this was a competitive back and forth match that could have gone either way. It is good to see having a proper singles run and push, often seen teaming with LK Mezinger it allows him to exhibit a full repertoire. Danny as always was all heart; he gave this contest everything he had and came close to capturing the trophy. Personally, for me Elijah is one of the better heels working the South Wales/South West independent scene, he gives nothing to the audience and they treat him as he should be. Danny had the vocal support of the crowd, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to power him on. Elijah retained via a Spinebuster for the victory.

Celtic Crown Women’s Title Triple Threat *Title Change*

Dani Luna def. Gisele Shaw & Sierra Loxton ©

Dani Luna told us she would be victorious, and victorious she was. Sierra defended valiantly and Gisele battled hard for the title, unfortunately for them it was the mouthy Luna that captured Celtic gold. This match was tough, hard hitting and athletic, these three women worked hard and produced and entertaining triple threat match. Luna was full of energy throughout and made sure she was not there to just make up the numbers, Gisele Shaw making her debut for Dragon Pro performed well but never seemed like winning. Sierra the defending champion wasn’t going down easily, she fought back well and came close to retaining. After a frantic match it was Dani Luna who revered a Spanish Fly to pin Shaw and become champion.

Dragon Pro Tag Team Championship *Title Change*

Jay Jewel & Sid Oakley w/ Merlin def. The 198 (Wild Boar & Flash Morgan Webster) ©

This was another entertaining contest and the second title change of the evening, the talented team of Jay and Sid took on current WWE roster members Wild Boar and Morgan Webster. This match was very competitive and the first half focused on both teams working hard for an advantage. The hugely popular 198 made their opponents work hard and often had the upper hand, the challengers flanked by Merlin Cambridge resisted the wave of offence and fought back well to get into the match. Jay Jewell continues to improve and impress, his hard-hitting shoot style makes him really stand out amongst the roster and he showed here exactly what he can do. The 198 took control as Boar and Webster took turns dealing out the offence, they seemed to be retaining, however. Brendan White walked in and got involved, he attacked the 198 and left then lying. Jay Jewel and Oakley then made the cover to become the new tag team champions.

All Wales Title Royal Rumble Match *Title Change*

Beano def. Mike Bird © w/Merlin

The rumble was all sorts of fun, full of action, drama and suspense, it ticked many boxes. There were debuts, record eliminations and shocking attacks at ringside. Beano the eventual winner deserved the victory and the title, he survived multiple elimination attempts and violent attack at ringside from Fletcher Law. Once Mike Bird hit the ring the atmosphere went wild, the defending champion somehow avoided being eliminated as the referee’s weren’t paying attention. He and Beano then went back and forth, the drama escalated as both fought hard to win and retain, Brendan once more made his presence felt as he attacked seemingly on behalf of Merlin Cambridge. The majority of the audience were fully behind Beano, the NP44 native just seemed to keep going. He rallied against the heels and eliminated Bird to a thunderous reaction to win the Rumble and to be crowned, finally as the new All Wales Champion.
