Saturday Spotlight highlights the wacky and wonderful word of professional wrestling, from WWE, NJPW, the independents and everywhere else. I intend to find the best content available to further exhibit why wrestling is the best form of sports enteraintment in the world. And this week it’s the fiftieth addition of the ‘Saturday Spotlight’!

To mark this wonferful occassion I take us back to ECW’s 1996 event Cyberslam, and the arrival of “The Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman. After being fired (kayfabe/shoot) from WCW in early 96′, Pillman left WCW to so say legtimise his Loose Cannon persona. Depending on what line of the truth you want to follow, Brian never retuned to WCW, after his infamous promo and work in ECW he eventually signed for the WWF in June 1996.

Looking back now it fair to say this is one of the most important and infamous interviews/promos in wrestling history. Brian Pillman was a wrestler who could have worked in any era, yet it was he who first ushered in the attitude to wrestling. So sit back and take ten minutes out and watch this great piece of wrestling history. Enjoy
