Johnny Gargano vs Dominik Dijakovic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They took Rebel Heart away? Wack. But I digress, this was a good opening match and it was rather competitive. We\u2019re trying to establish this heel Gargano and if this had been a cakewalk in either direction, it would\u2019ve negatively impacted that. However, there was also that exposed turnbuckle move and to me, that\u2019s a super clich\u00e9 heel move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Johnny Gargano<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akira Tozawa vs Jack Gallagher<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is going on with Gallagher\u2019s chest tattoo? Anyways, the match was short and decent. It\u2019s nice to see Tozawa with a little bit of steam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Akira Tozawa<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chelsea Green vs Xia Li<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some reason, Aliyah came out and distracted Li because apparently that feud is still happening. And my stars, is Green\u2019s Unprettier ugly to watch. She needs to figure it out or get a new finisher. Also Aliyah may be joining the Robert Stone brand\u2026yay?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Chelsea Green<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: D-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dream Over<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s still weird even weeks later that Velveteen Dream\u2019s feud with Roderick Strong just randomly ended and shifted to Adam Cole. He was trying to destroy Strong\u2019s family and then all of a sudden was like nah, actually I\u2019m trying to get at Cole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karrion Kross vs Leon Ruff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The match was probably only a minute long but that entrance was fantastic. That\u2019s how you make a debut!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlotte Flair vs Io Shirai-Women\u2019s Championship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I enjoyed this match, even if I am a bit biased because I absolutely love Charlotte Flair. This was one of those match ups I hadn\u2019t really anticipated but now would like to see more of. I feel like the false finish was almost needed because it wouldn\u2019t make sense for Flair to just run through Shirai like nothing. And with Rhea Ripley basically inserting herself back into the fray, this is a good opportunity for interesting future matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Io Shirai via DQ<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kushida vs Jake Atlas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why was this match only three minutes long? That was an injustice because this match was so much fun and probably could\u2019ve turned into a banger if given a better amount of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Kushida<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who attacked Finn Balor? Who?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Grimes vs Denzel Dejournette<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically this squash of a match existed to create a match between Grimes and Finn Balor for next week. Grimes doing all that talking out the side of his neck right now but Balor is probably going to shut him up next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Cameron Grimes<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Cole vs Velveteen Dream-NXT Championship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s be honest, this was a very flat and average championship match. Even the extra people getting involved didn\u2019t pump it up at all. It\u2019s hard to pinpoint where this match fell off but the missing audience and drama-less retention didn\u2019t help it. I\u2019m not really sure if this feud should continue or not after this match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Adam Cole<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I really feel like the women\u2019s title match and the men\u2019s title match should\u2019ve swapped places on the card. The men\u2019s match fell flat and while the women\u2019s match ended in a false finish, there was an x-factor introduced. Kushida and Jake Atlas definitely should\u2019ve gotten more time to shine. And I hope they capitalize on Karrion Kross\u2019s amazing debut and his general popularity with fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
