Austin Theory vs Tyler Breeze<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s definitely an interest of sorts in Theory as\nhe\u2019s been put up against some well-established stars. This match was good and\nBreeze was another good choice as he was able to work well with him. I do think\nTheory needs to work on his trash talk game though, even if I would\u2019ve\npreferred him to win this match in order to get some sort of momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Tyler Breeze<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Killian Dain vs Tehuti Miles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a total squash match for Dain, but Miles has\nsome swag about him. I would like to know and see more of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Killian Dain<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Grimes vs Tony Nese<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did appreciate seeing Nese\u2019s glorious abs on my\ntelevision screen again. This was an okay match; solid and not much to write\nhome about. There was no crowd so I didn\u2019t get to hear them booing Grimes out\nof the building again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Cameron Grimes<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Io Shirai vs Aliyah-Qualifying Match for Number One Contender\u2019s Ladder Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did anyone really think that Aliyah, who has been on\nNXT for as long as this version of NXT has existed, even had a chance to win\nthis match? Anyways, Shirai is back with her bad self!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Io Shirai<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: D+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awkward North American Title Threesome<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something felt off about this whole segment. It\nwasn\u2019t very smooth. I thought we had finished up the Dijakovic-Lee feud. It\u2019s\ntoo soon to bring it back and I don\u2019t know if injecting Damian Priest into the\nfeud is enough to keep it fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Cole on vacation gets an automatic A because I love just about anything he does.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan vs Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hey look, Burch and Lorcan won a match! It\u2019s nice to see them come out on top, they\u2019re such a good tag team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kayden Carter vs Candice LeRae-Qualifying Match for the Number One Contender Ladder Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LeRae can wrestle\u2026we all know this. She just needs a\npersonality that\u2019s not just \u201cconcerned best friend\u201d and \u201cwife of Johnny\nGargano\u201d. Carter is good too, just still green and obviously not in the top\ntier of women at this current moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Candice LeRae<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt Riddle vs Roderick Strong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was easily the best match of the night. It was\na bit on the short side, though still one of the longer segments on the show.\nRiddle and Strong worked well together and put out a solid match; it wasn\u2019t\nTakeover worthy and probably won\u2019t be memorable down the line but it worked.\nAlso we were introduced to a new tag team afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Matt Riddle<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disappointed Dad Triple H<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why does Triple H always seem like a disappointed\ndad when it comes to NXT? Anyways, he\u2019s gonna put a ring in an empty building\nand Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will end their feud there. Good lord, I\nhope so. I\u2019m tired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, this episode was a bit subpar. I know\nthere\u2019s a pandemic going on and WWE wants to protect everyone\u2019s health but it\nseems like it\u2019s absolutely random what gets put on the show from week to week.\nHopefully that settles as we\u2019re set to get the cancelled Takeover\u2019s matches on\nNXT television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall Grade: C<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
