Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai-Steel Cage Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a rather lackluster start to this feud, the\nlast couple of encounters have finally added some intensity. It\u2019ll be\ninteresting to see how Nox overcomes and finally gets her revenge, especially\nnow that Kai has a new pet in Raquel Gonzales. I felt like the assisted escape\nfinish made sense and set up for another chapter in this anthology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Dakota Kai<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Packages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finn Balor and Walter is gonna be an excellent match\nwhen it happens and I am enjoying the build.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair is the match I\u2019m most\nlooking forward to anyways so anything they give me is just icing on the cake.\nJust hearing the theme played makes me want to start packing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chelsea Green vs Shotzi Blackheart-Ladder Match Qualifier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was decent given its short length and NXT is\ntrying very hard to make Chelsea Green a thing. Yeah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Chelsea Green <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: D+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keith Lee and Cameron Grimes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the general idea was to set up a match between\nLee and Grimes, the whole segment was overshadowed by the crowd\u2019s very loud\ndisdain for Grimes. The booing was so loud, he could barely get a word in\nwithout shouting into the microphone. It was kind of funny actually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Undisputed Era vs Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a fun tag match. I really enjoy watching\ntag matches wherein both sets of partners have great chemistry with each other.\nAlso adding to this was the post-match angle with the Broserweights and the\nGrizzled Young Veterans. Perhaps there\u2019s a triple threat for the tag titles in\nthe future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Austin Theory vs Isaiah Scott<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a great match and I did really enjoy it. It\nseems like Theory is someone else that NXT really wants us to get behind. Scott\nhas already somewhat established himself so I feel like this was a good match\nup. I wouldn\u2019t mind seeing them tousle again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Austin Theory<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interview with Johnny Gargano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll give them some points for intensity but nothing\nabout this interview really grabbed me or made interested in this revisited\nfeud between Gargano and Ciampa. Gargano really just came off as a whiny brat\nhere and I really hope Ciampa comes out on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roderick Strong vs Velveteen Dream-Steel Cage Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Dream wants to do is ruin a man\u2019s family, is\nthat so wrong? That aside, this was balls to the wall from the sound of the\nbell. And then the Undisputed Era got involved (because of course) and Dream\nshowed out with them too. He may have taken the loss here but that pose on top\nof the cage must be setting up something for Takeover Tampa! At least I hope\nso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Roderick Strong<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: A-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I apologize for my brief hiatus. Things have gotten\na little hectic in real life but I seem to be in a better place now. Tonight\nthere was a bit of a risk with having two steel cage matches on a regular\ntelevision episode but the risk paid off, advancing both stories. This was a\ngood episode all in all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
