Finn Balor vs Trent Seven<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balor really took some time off, got married, then\ncame back to NXT as an incarnation of Prince Devitt didn\u2019t he? He\u2019s just out\nhere taking down everyone in his path to Johnny Gargano. I really liked this\nmatch as there was a story coming into it and Balor\u2019s aggression as a heal made\nSeven an even more sympathetic babyface. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Finn Balor<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Broserweights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pete Dunne\u2019s angry straight face is so funny to me.\nHe\u2019s like an evil teddybear. I need a vignette of him and Matt Riddle out on\nthe town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deonna Purrazzo vs Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, Blackheart gets her own A+ for the tiny tank\nentrance. That\u2019s the best thing ever and I hope she continues to ride around in\nher tiny tank. This match was okay; Blackheart is a little rough around the\nedges but I see potential in her. I also feel like Purrazzo is stuck in the\nupper-level enhancement talent territory and she really deserves more than\nthat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Shotzi Blackheart<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominik Dijakovic vs Damian Priest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming off a great promo from Keith Lee and\nDijakovic calling Priest \u201cbootleg Marilyn Manson\u201d, this was a nice match. It\nwas a bit of a sprint, but I feel that we have basically re-introduced the\nLee-Dijakovic feud in a way that\u2019s fresh and also involves a title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldie\u2019s Real Daddy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Listen, I am here for Tomasso Ciampa hunting down\nthe Undisputed Era and officially issuing his challenge for Takeover Portland.\nAnd the man put his own blood on the contract. Ciampa is coming for Goldie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This match was okay, but surely it can\u2019t be the end\nof the feud? I feel like there\u2019s so much more potential for this. They didn\u2019t\neven get any interaction time in the Royal Rumble. My main problem is that\nthey\u2019ve done nothing to really establish Kai as a heel. She\u2019s still getting her\ntail beat, just looking angry about it. And when does Candice LeRae get to do\nsomething other than be someone\u2019s side kick?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Tegan Nox<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: C-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kayden Carter vs Chelsea Green<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A wrestling match happened. It\u2019s bizarre that\nthere\u2019s been so much hype surrounding Green and then she just loses. I\u2019m not\nsure where we go from here; I sure hope it doesn\u2019t follow the footsteps of Eva\nMarie\u2019s gimmick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Kayden Carter<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: D (I\u2019d give it an F but I like Kayden Carter)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broserweights vs Grizzled Young Veterans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going into this tag team tournament, I was skeptical\nabout how well the Broserweights would mesh and I didn\u2019t know much about the GYV.\nOver the course of the tournament, I\u2019ve been impressed with both teams and they\ndelivered excellently here in the finals match. However, there was never a\npoint in this match where I really thought the GYV would win. There\u2019s just been\ntoo much emphasis put on the Broserweights as of late. Great match, just no\nhigh-stakes feel to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Broserweights<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade: B+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the most part, this was a pretty good episode. I\nwould like for the Kai-Nox feud to go on for a little longer, if only to have a\nlonger and better blowoff match. And I\u2019m also entertaining the thought of\nCiampa being the reason that Undisputed Era ultimately implodes and breaks up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
