It was good,\ndefinitely a smart choice for an opener. O\u2019Reilly and Fish stayed in neutral\ngear here though, delivering but not giving us the full throttle that we\u2019ve\nbecome accustomed to. Also we had a distraction finish due to Imperium\u2019s\ninterference and I\u2019m not really the biggest fan of those in NXT. It\u2019s utilized\ntoo much on the main roster as is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Grizzled Young Veterans<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Toni Storm vs Io Shirai<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was really enjoying this match; the drama\nsurrounding it just elevated it and made the women\u2019s title and the upcoming\ntitle match for it seem more important. Also can we all agree that Bianca\nBelair has a wicked spear? She was like a train! This match had a murky finish\nas well. If it were up to me, I would\u2019ve spread these first two matches apart\nwith these finishes or I would\u2019ve let the first match have a clean ending as\nthe murky finish made more sense here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Toni Storm via DQ<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Finn Balor absolutely murdering Joaquin Wilde gets an automatic A because I love evil Finn Balor and I make the rules here.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Shayna Baszler vs Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although Blackheart had a little bit of time to\nshine, this was still quite rough. I\u2019m sure she\u2019s going to get better with more\nexperience and exposure though. Baszler looked like the monster she is though,\nkeeping poor Blackheart locked in the submission after the bell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Shayna Baszler<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: C-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dakota Kai also gets an A for saying that Tegan Nox is about due for another injury. That\u2019s cold!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Broserweights vs Imperium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matt Riddle gets some bonus points for braiding his\nhair up like Pete Dunnes\u2019s. I love that tag team aesthetic! Actually, this was\nmy favorite match of the night. Dunne and Riddle showed fantastic chemistry and\nImperium is just solid all the way around. Also the promo afterwards with the\nGrizzled Young Veterans (the other finalists) was A-1. I love the\nself-awareness about Riddle being high all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: The Broserweights<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Roderick Strong vs Keith Lee-North American Championship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This match both killed me and gave me life at the\nsame time. On one hand, Keith Lee finally got his hands on some gold. On the\nother, the Undisputed Era is no longer dripping in gold. This had the buildup,\nthe moves, and faction interference to be an all-around great match. Enter\nImperium for the closing brawl and this was a great way to end the show on a\nhigh note for Worlds Collide!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Keith Lee<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: A-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, that was the go-home show for Worlds Collide. I\nmust say, they\u2019ve done a pretty good job of hyping up Worlds Collide. I wasn\u2019t\nat all interested when it was first announced but these last couple of weeks\nhave had me changing my tune. I\u2019m excited to see how these matches turn out and\nI wonder if this will permanently replace pre-Royal Rumble Takeovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Overall Grade: B<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grizzled Young Veterans vs Undisputed Era Match-wise, I can\u2019t complain.
