But the fact that Rhea Ripley got just as much as a\nreaction when she came out shows that Ripley is truly reaching new heights as a\nstar. It\u2019s amazing to see how much she\u2019s progressed in the couple of years\nshe\u2019s been with NXT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: A<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Becky Lynch vs Rhea Ripley<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was expecting a non-finish since War Games and\nSurvivor Series are this weekend so I won\u2019t take anything off because of it.\nHowever, these two had a great match and worked very well together. I\u2019d love to\nsee another match or even a program between the two of them where there\u2019s some\nmore build up and time for proper finishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: No contest<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Matt Riddle vs Ricochet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technically Riddle was supposed to face Kona Reeves\nbut Ricochet happened and we got this instead, not that I\u2019m complaining. They\nput so much into this match that you almost can\u2019t believe it was less than five\nminutes long. I would have more to say about the short match but the subsequent\nbrawl featuring Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, Roderick Strong, and Finn Balor\nsaved the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Matt Riddle<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Undisputed Era (O\u2019Reilly and Fish) vs The Revival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you forgot about NXT-era Revival or this is your\nfirst time seeing them not on the main roster, this is the perfect match! Scott\nDawson and Dash Wilder really excel when given the proper time to do so\u2026and\ndon\u2019t have any wacky interruptions to worry about (looking at you, itching\npowder). They also played babyface to the established-heel team of Kyle\nO\u2019Reilly and Bobby Fish, which was an interesting dynamic. This match was\nfantastic and as a lover of tag team wrestling, my favorite of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Undisputed Era<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: A<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kay Lee Ray vs Dakota Kai<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The match was a little on the shorter side, but it\nwas good exposure for Kay Lee Ray as some fans may not be as familiar with her.\nAs with the prior Riddle-Ricochet match, the brawl that came afterwards really\nelevated this segment. I quite enjoyed the tease between Kairi Sane and Io Shirai!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Kay Lee Ray<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: C+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Viking Raiders vs The Forgotten Sons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This match was pretty good, but I had the feeling\nthat it was placed here as sort of a cool down match. I also feel like there\nwas just a little too much interference from the outside man of the Sons but I\ncan\u2019t complain too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Viking Raiders<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: C<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adam Cole vs Dominik Dijakovic-Ladder Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I didn\u2019t know if they would be able to live up to\nthe women\u2019s ladder match from last week, but these lads knocked it out of the\npark! This was a great main event and though these two are not wrestlers I\u2019d\ngenerally pair together I think they worked well. Another successful one-on-one\ntelevision ladder match in the books for NXT!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winner: Adam Cole <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: B+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Go-home brawl!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the ladder match, we had yet another brawl!\nYou would think three brawls would be too much in one episode, but nah. The\nending tease between Tomasso Ciampa and Seth Rollins was just icing on the\ncake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grade: A<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">War Games and Survivor Series is upon us! I am\ngenuinely more excited for Survivor Series than I have been in the last couple\nof years and I think a lot of that has to do with the involvement of NXT. It\u2019s\na fresh take and also solidifies NXT as its own brand with its own stars, not\njust a developmental territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Overall Grade: A- <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Becky is back!
