My Week \u2013 Week ending 5th<\/sup> May 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My week\nconsisted of just a few things <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ilya Dragunov\njoining NXT is huge, I like his style, and some of the stuff he did WxW was\ngreat and a potential feud with WALTER would be mouthwatering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was so\nstoked to see KUSHIDA make his debut in NXT in an OK out with Kassius Ohno,\nI just hope they do better with him than they did with Hideo Itami. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marty Scurll\n& Nick Aldis match at the Crockett Cup is a decent match if you haven’t\nseen it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fallout\nis yet to be seen from what the Briscoes did at the Crockett Cup, as brilliant\nas it was, I think we all know a receipt is coming from the NWA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I know it\nmaybe a little old now but if you haven’t seen it, I’d recommend the OMEGA MAN\ndocumentary, only an hour long but it shows how the ‘best bout machine’ Kenny\nOmega became just that and how much kayfabe is protected in Japan, a good\nwatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been absent from My Week for a little while, mostly because\nthere just wasn\u2019t a whole lot going on with me. This week, however, I started\ndoing of Sheamus\u2019s workouts with Celtic Warrior Workouts and perusing the\nroutines of John Cena, Charlotte Flair, Nikki Bella, and Braun Strowman. It\u2019s\nbeen a lot of fun (and pain) but I\u2019m glad to be able to mix it up in my\nworkouts. I\u2019ve promised myself no more wrestling shirts until I drop some\ninches. Pray for me because of course this is when everyone is coming out with\nnew stuff! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrated the newest holiday on the Wrestling Community: Scott\nSteiner Math Day. That gem of a promo never gets old; it\u2019s right up there with\nthe \u201cWoo Off\u201d between Jay Lethal and Ric Flair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, this week, Jon Moxley dropped a preview video and I am very\nexcited to see where he\u2019s going to be and what he\u2019s going to do. I fell in love\nwith Mox before he transitioned into being Dean Ambrose; I\u2019m pretty sure I can\nfind my old vest and shirt. I\u2019ve gotten into Renee Young\u2019s podcast too; I find\nit amusing and relaxing.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hasn’t it\nbeen a dull WWE week?
\n
\nI didn’t make it to the end of Raw and I only skimmed through Smackdown. I\nmanaged just over half of NXT UK and got fed up of that too.
\n
\nSo once again I’m sat wondering what’s going wrong with the product. Part of me\nthinks Wrestlemania was so hyped and anything afterwards was going to be anti-climactic.\nThe other part of me thinks WWE are purposefully coasting, aligning their chess\npieces with their eyes on two things. The Saudi show where the big bucks are made\nand the new TV deal coming in 6 months.

\nI mentioned in a previous article that I expected the “top talent” to\nmove between brands and with Roman Reigns rumored to be on Raw this week, I\nfeel this even more likely.
\n
\nMy heart breaks for Matt and Jeff Hardy. I’ve actually lost count of the number\nof times my heart has broken for Jeff Hardy. We just got them back as a team\nand in a lackluster tag team division, Smackdown is going to miss them\nterribly. And what about Matt? Be prepared for minimal TV times and\nquestionable booking at best.

\nThe Jon Moxley video has called quite a stir. Word is that WWE helped him pull\nthat video together with the intention of him going into the indy circuit for a\ncouple of years. The desired outcome is that he’ll rediscover himself and\nreturn to WWE at a future date as Jon Moxley. Even though he’s left WWE, you\ncan’t help but feel they still have a hold on him and are they in fact using\nhim to plug the ever-expanding gap between WWE and the indy wrestling scene?

\nIt’s still very quiet on the Daniel Bryan front. I’m concerned. I’m very\nconcerned.

\nRonda Rousey appears to be recovering from surgery on her hand. Will she come\nback to WWE? Who knows? Are they missing her? Maybe, I’ve not really thought\nabout it.

\nDid you know the main event of Money in the Bank will air at the same time as\nthe Game of Thrones finale? Can the prospect of AJ Styles v Seth Rollins keep\nthe audience engaged till the end or will WWE see their numbers drop off as their\nviewers jump to find out who will sit on the iron throne? <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
