NXT\n3\/13\/19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s Thursday so you know what that means!\nIt\u2019s time to review the black and gold power hour known as NXT. There was lots\nof wrestling action on this episode as we had both Dusty Rhodes Classic\nsemifinals matches and a number one contender\u2019s match for the women\u2019s\nchampionship. So let\u2019s take a look at what went down!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgotten\nSons vs Moustache Mountain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big strong bois vs the sleavy biker\ngang is not something I would\u2019ve anticipated seeing, but here we are. There was\na lot of good back and forth action in this match, made better I think by the\namount of technical wrestling involved. One of my favorite parts of the match\nwas definitely the airplane spin that Tyler Bate did with both of the Forgotten\nSons on his shoulders. Talk about a big strong boi! The reverse DDT\/stomp combo\nwon it for the Sons, but Moustache Mountain deserves a lot of credit for their\nwork in this match. They made the Sons look like a very credible tag team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner:\nForgotten Sons<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grade:\nB+<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bro!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt Riddle was interviewed about\nconfronting Velveteen Dream. Adam Cole called him delusional for thinking he\u2019d\nbe the next champ so Riddle challenged him to a match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Io\nShirai vs Bianca Belair-#1 Contender\u2019s Match<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing from their heated\nconfrontations over the last couple of weeks, both Shirai and Belair got great\ncrowd responses. There were dueling chants for both competitors during the\nmatch. Shayna Baszler was also providing color commentary, of which she did a\ngreat job. Both Shirai and Belair showed off some gymnastics prowess. We got\nShirai\u2019s famous moonsault as well as Belair\u2019s hair whip. After Shirai ate a\nspear from Belair, Baszler pulled Shirai out and caused a disqualification.\nThen she choked out Belair. Kairi Sane came out, but Baszler choked her out too\nbefore choking out Shirai. This was a great match and I think Baszler came off\nlooking like an absolute monster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPlot Thickens<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were shown highlights from the match\nbetween Dominik Dijakovic and Keith Lee. The two men had a confrontation at the\nperformance center so they will have a match next week. Baszler was informed\nthat her title will be defended in a fatal four-way match at Takeover. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evil\nDIY vs Aleister Black and Ricochet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black and Ciampa started and commentary\nreminded us of their match at the last Takeover event. DIY followed up last\nweek\u2019s bout with the same intensity and teamwork; even with their breakup, they\nhaven\u2019t missed a beat and work so well together. Black and Ricochet also\ncontinued to deliver, a great juxtaposition of flips and striking ability. That\ndouble backflip taunt they do is so cold, I hope they keep it around for the\nduration of their tag team. Gargano did some good selling of a knee injury,\nmaking for a dramatic time where Ciampa had to go it alone. In the end, a Black\nMass and 630 won the match for Black and Ricochet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the match, Johnny was comforted by\nCandice LeRae and Ciampa. They helped him up the ramp. Ciampa went to throw\nGargano into the LED board, but Gargano stopped him and shoved him into the\nboard instead. Revenge! Candice smiling in the background was just the icing on\nthe cake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final\nThoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this is the last taping before\nTommaso had to leave to have his neck surgery. He must have been in so much\npain, he\u2019s such a trooper. We\u2019ve got our women\u2019s championship match set for\nTakeover. I\u2019m wondering who is going to come out on top in that match; with the\naddition of the women\u2019s tag belts, it\u2019d make sense to keep the Sky Pirates\ntogether. Is Baszler ready for the main roster jump? There\u2019s also intrigue as\nto what we\u2019re going to do with the NXT Championship now that Ciampa is out for\nthe foreseeable future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Grade: A-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
