WWE NXT UK Review Episode 1 of 2 Wednesday 5th June
Joe Coffee vs Dave Mastif vs Jordan Devlin vs Travis Banks #1 Contender Match for the WWE UK Championship is the main event, which should make for an exciting for this episode indeed.
The show kicks off with The Hunt (W) against Tyson T-bone & Saxon Huxley (L) An interesting start to the show. Primate is my favourite of the two from The Hunt (I followed him before he was in WWE) The Hunt get attacked by Wolfgang and Mark Coffee after the match.
Kay Lee Ray (W) Vs. Kasey Owens (L) A match consisting of hard-hitting technical moves showcasing how tough Kay Lee Ray truly is.
Imperium get showcased in a video package explaining that they are about “Absolute power”
Video flash back from a previous episode showcasing debut of Jazzy Gabot who was introduced by Jinny. Then the pair are interviewed backstage, Jinny explaining Jazzy will destroy all in their way.
NXT Tag Champions Grizzled Young Veterans enter the ring (Zack Gibson and James Drake) for a in ring promo complaining about having to defend their titles at Download Festival. Saying it would be a waste of time and would dirty their gear. Zack Gibson does all the talking expressing his disgust for bands like Slipknot.
Advertised for next week – A three on three match featuring British Strong Style vs Imperium
The Main Event begins with all four entrants making their way to the ring for a massive number 1 Contenders match.
Banks focuses on Devlin and Mastif focuses on Coffee. Banks takes on Coffee and Devlin at the same time then Mastif takes him down. Mastif delivers a German Suplex to Coffee and then Devlin. Coffee spins Devlin and Banks around at the same time in separate moves. Devlin keeps control throughout the match. Mastif gets busted open. Devlin breaks up a pin by performing a massive Moonsault onto Mastif and Coffee. Coffee performs his finisher knocking himself and Mastif out the match. Travis Banks performs the Slice of Heaven on Devlin and the Kiwi Crusher to Devlin and picks up the win making him the #1 Contender for the WWE UK Championship.
WWE NXT UK Review Episode 2 of 2 Wednesday 12th
Main event – British Strong Style Vs Imperium
Xia Brookside begins the show in a tag match teaming with Isla Dawn, their opponents being Jinny & Jazzy Gabot. Team Brookside begin having the upper hand until Gabot gets in the ring. Jinny demands to get the pin on Isla after Gabot did her finisher. Jinny secures the 3 count for the victory.
Ligero has an emotional video package showing his struggles and highlights from previous matches.
Ilja Dragunov Vs Joseph Conners is the next match.
Kenny Williams gets spoken to about Noam Darr and mentions he has a match against Kassius Ohno in the next episode and that he should stay lucky.
Conners vs. Dragunov is an intense match indeed, interesting detail I’ve met Joseph Conners myself he’s pretty cool. Conners tries to keep up the aggressive offensive however Dragunov bests him in this match and gets the win.
Toni Storm talks backstage about what’s next for her, essentially saying she’ll win regardless.
Next episode every woman (that’s not Toni Storm) will compete in a match to earn a shot against the WWE NXT UK Woman’s Champion herself, Toni Storm.
The following segment involves Travis Banks talking about his recent experiences and the fact he’s got his opportunity to win the NXT UK Championship. I very much enjoyed his rivalry with Jordan Devlin. “This is the moment I’ve been waiting for” – Travis Banks.
The Hunt make their point clear they are after Gallus.
British Strong Style make their entrance firstly, as we get reminded it was 2 weeks ago Imperium debuted and ruined Pete Dunnes title rematch.
Imperium make their heavily booed entrance.
Pete Dunne and Fabian start the match, Bate and Dunne both stomp on Fabian’s arms. Barthel gets the tag and begins to beat down on Bate until Trent gets the tag. Walter gets the tag locks up with Trent, Trent begins to chop Walter but Walter isn’t effected. Walter eventually tags Fabian in for a limited time until Walter wanted the tag back in. Trent getting cut from his corner for long amount of time by Imperium. Barthel gets the tag continues the beat down on Trent then tags Fabian in. Dunne and Walter became the legal men for both teams. Both have equal amount of offence exchanged until Bate and Fabian are made the legal men for both teams. Bate takes on Imperium on his own for a limited amount of time. Bate gets double teamed but kicks out of the double team move, Bate tags Trent in where he performs his finisher to no success.
A mystery person enters the ring turns out to be Alexander Wolfe who interrupted the match making his debut to assist Imperium in getting the victory. Alexander Wolfe joins the Imperium faction. rity46
