All In is just around the corner so we figured it was time for a preview of the biggest independent show ever! Cody and The Young Bucks decided to go “All In” for a major arena show, and their gamble paid off as they sold out 10K seats in 30 minutes. September 1st is when it all goes down, and it should be a fun night.
Who is on the Card?: The show has a mix of talent from NJPW, ROH, Impact, Lucha Underground, CMLL, and the NWA so it is a mashup of nearly every major non-WWE promotion out there. Big names such as Kenny Omega, Rey Mysterio, The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Marty Scurll, Pentagon Jr., Kota Ibushi, Fenix, and even Stephen Amell will be on the card.
Where to Watch: You can watch All In on your PPV provider for $39.99 SD or $49.99 HD, as well as the Fite TV app for $39.99. If you have Ring of Honor’s streaming service “Honor Club”, it will also be there as well to stream.
Zero Hour:
Over Budget Battle Royal: A 15 person (and likely more when it is all said and done) Battle Royal will be on WGN America, where the winner receives a shot later in the night at the ROH World Championship against Jay Lethal.
Briscoes vs. SCU (Kazarian and Scorpio Sky): 2 teams that are very solid ROH regulars, and it should be a fun match full of lots of action as we prepare for the main card.
Main Card:
Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr: Omega is the current IWGP champ, while Pentagon is an international star most notably seen on Impact and Lucha Underground. These two have never faced off 1 on 1, and I believe have only been in the ring together on a PWG show last year in a 6 man tag. It should be a different match than what Omega is used to, and the Chicago crowd will be electric. This is a definite potential match of the night.
Golden Elite (Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi) vs. Rey Mysterio, Bandido & Fenix: The Bucks and Ibushi are some of the best wrestlers in the world, and Fenix is one of the best acrobats in wrestling today. Mysterio is of course a legend, and this very well could be one of his last matches before returning to WWE. Bandido is a guy not many in the US have seen, but he has impressed at PWG recently and should gain lots of new fans with his crazy maneuvers.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll: Okada is coming off his legendary IWGP Heavyweight title reign, and Scurll is a staple in the New Japan junior division. NJPW doesn’t do mixed weight matches often, so this is a rare opportunity to see Okada against a junior. This should be really good, and seeing Okada in a singles match is always fun.
NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis (c) vs. Cody: Aldis has been the NWA Heavyweight champ since last December, and it is awesome to see the title gaining some of its historic fame back. Cody will look to capture the title his father held 3 times, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pay some homages to Dusty throughout the match.
ROH World Championship: Jay Lethal (c) vs. Battle Royal Winner: I’m hoping that Flip Gordon somehow can end up here. I expect Lethal to retain against whoever this is, and no matter who wins the battle royal it should be a well worked match since Lethal can put on a good match with anyone.
Christopher Daniels vs. Stephen Amell: Daniels framed Amell for murder on the popular “Being the Elite” YouTube series, and that ended up setting up this match. Amell may not be an in ring regular, but is athletic and looks the part from his lead role on Arrow. Daniels is a ring veteran, and I expect a fun matchup from these 2.
Madison Rayne vs. Chelsea Greene vs. Britt Baker vs. Tessa Blanchard: Blanchard recently won the Impact Knockouts champion, so I expect her to get a win here in what should be an action packed four way match.
Joey Janela (w/ Penelope Ford) vs. Adam “Hangman” Page: Both of these dudes usually go all out regardless of what show they are on, and I expect even more so on a show this big. I would not be surprised to see this open the PPV with a bang.
