It was announced earlier via the Border City Wrestling twitter page that IMPACT Wrestlings most dangerous event of the year will be returning, live on IMPACT Plus on March 28th eminating from St. Clair College in Windsor Ontario. Lockdown is back, it had been teased by IMPACTS social media pages a few weeks ago and is something fellow impact fans had been asking for a long time.

The last lockdown event took place in 2016 with the signature match Lethal Lockdown featuring the Doll House faction defeating the team of Gail Kim and velvet Sky, Maria Kanellis was potentially scheduled in for the match but upon making her entrance she subsequently turned heel on Gail & Velvet which cost them the match.

Lockdown has always been good for IMPACT but particularly in 2013 when the show took place at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio Texas, which to date is the biggest PPV crowd for IMPACT. The main event was a steel cage match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship between then champion Jeff Hardy vs Bully Ray, that of course was the event when Bully defeated Jeff with the help of the aces & eights and it was revealed Bully was the president of the aces & eights that lead to fans throwing things into the cage at the motorcycle club and possibly one of the most infamous heel turns in TNA/IMPACT history.

Lockdown is officially back and to the joy of many fans, as I’m sure many know it was originally Mike Tenay who had the idea to put all of the matches on the card inside the confines of a steel cage.

So don’t forget if you can’t be there in March it will be live on IMPACT Plus March 28th from St. Clair College in Windsor Ontario, Canada. No matches have been made as of yet but it just gives fans a chance to fantasy book.
