So SLAMMIVERSARY XVII is fast approaching and is sure to have some very memorable matches like Sami Callihan vs Tessa Blanchard and MOOSE vs R.V.D, but here are some of my favourites that I’ve seen of the years hope you Enjoy.
6 WAY X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP LADDER MATCH: SLAMMIVERSARY XII. Sanada © vs Tigre Uno vs Eddie Edwards vs Davey Richards vs Crazy Steve vs Manik. Excellent match that some may consider a spot fest but I think it was extremely well worked by all involved and is definitely a match worth watching.
TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP SLAMMIVERSARY X: Austin Aries vs Samoa Joe. Two of the very best in a technical pure match proving why the x division is a Jewel in IMPACT’s crown.
EC3 VS THE “MIRACLE” MIKE BENNETT: TNA SLAMMIVERSARY 2016 A true grudge match with passion and great wrestling by two of the most underrated guys around today.
TNA KNOCKOUT’S CHAMPIONSHIP: ANGELINA LOVE VS GAIL KIM. SLAMMIVERSARY 2015 Great heel work from love as well as a very sound match and the ref shenanigans just gave the beautiful people more heat.
SAMI CALLIHAN VS PENTAGON JR, MASK VS HAIR: SLAMMIVERSARY 2018. A brutal fight between two of the best stars from the past 2 years which is why it’s no surprise this was IMPACT’s MOTY.
BRO-MANS VS THE VON ERICHS: SLAMMIVERSARY 2014: The new generation of the von erichs showing why their family produces some of the greatest wrestlers and tag teams against a great heel pairing of jessie and DJZ. With a great cameo from Kevin Von Erich
INTERNATIONAL 4 WAY, SLAMMIVERSARY 2018. Johnny IMPACT vs Petey Williams vs Fenix vs “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori. Pure talent on display here from 4 of the very best today, had returns athleticism and great work from a spectacular veteran.
Scott Steiner Vs Samoa Joe, SLAMMIVERSARY 2006 Power was the order of the day in this match with a young lion proving himself against one of the best strongmen to ever do it.
TNA World Tag Team Championships, The Bad Influence (Daniels & Kazarian) vs The “Phenomenal” AJ Styles & Kurt Angle. SLAMMIVERSARY 2012. Four of the very best singles wrestlers teaming up and having one of the greatest tag team bout’s I’ve seen for a long time.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage, Eric Young ©vs Austin Aries vs Bobby Lashley SLAMMIVERSARY 2012 Brilliant cage match from all 3 it was 2 strong babyfaces against a monster heel for most part but the way it was done makes it a must watch match.
ELI DRAKE & CHRIS ADONIS (MASTERS) VS MOOSE & DeANGELO WILLIAMS. SLAMMIVERSARY 2017 Excellent tag team match with Williams showing he could have a big future in wrestling should he want it teaming up against a very entertaining heel pair in D n A (Drake N Adonis).
GFW, IMPACT WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS FATAL 4 WAY LUCHA RULES TAG TEAM MATCH. LAX© VS EL HIJO DEL FANTASMA, DRAGO VS GARZA JR, LAREDO KID VS MARAFUJI, TAIJI ISHIMORI.SLAMMIVERSARY 2017 What a match this was, considering the champs had to face 3 makeshift teams it was a spectacle and could easily be mistook for an X division match.
STRAP MATCH, EC3 VS JAMES STORM. SLAMMIVERSARY 2017 In one word, Brutal a real grudge match between the Company favourite and a guy who’s become a real Heel star, with no sign of stopping.
AUSTIN ARIES VS KENNY KING, SLAMMIVERSARY 2014 Once again very technical with athletics points thrown in against two fantastic X division wrestlers fighting for a world championship opportunity with both deserving that opportunity.
TEXAS DEATHMATCH, EC3 VS BULLY RAY SLAMMIVERSARY 2014 Once again Excellent heel work from Carter especially with Bully just being announced along with D’von as the next Hall of fame Inductees the two put on a war in front of a rowdy Texas crowd.
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS, TEAM 3D VS RICK STEINER, ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL. SLAMMIVERSARY 2007 4 Tag team veterans in a dream match for sure, although Scott Steiner was scheduled to compete Rick had one hell of a back up partner 2 guys 1 half of 2 of the greatest tag teams teaming up against the most successful team ever. What’s not to love?
HOUSE OF HARDCORE MATCH, TOMMY DREAMER VS EDDIE EDWARDS. The Innovator of Violence vs the New breed of hardcore wrestling. Although it was quite the Extreme dream match Eddie still managed to show his technical ability which is something I feel sets him apart from the ECW guys.
Every one of these Matches are worth watching all for many different reasons and there’s something for everyone whether it be high-flying X Division or hard-hitting heavyweights, maybe you enjoy a bit of nostalgia I feel there’s something from this list you’ll enjoy. Look at the names from this list, current names like Johnny IMPACT and Eddie Edwards to Guys who have made their name somewhere else Like SANADA and Ishimori. Or if you’re looking for some of the biggest names in TNA you have AJ Styles, Eric Young, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. Not forgetting the legendary Tag teams of 3D, Bad Influence and the great makeshift team of The Dog faced gremlin Rick Steiner & The Rush of Road Warrior Animal. It has Hardcore to Catch to High Athleticism and none of them will disappoint you can find them all on the IMPACT plus app cannot recommend them enough.
