MY WEEK
Started my week catching up on Stardom Wrestling and the 16/5 Stardom Gold Korakuen show that featured seven matches with three of those being for titles. First of those title matches saw new ‘Artist of Stardom’ champions, basically their version of six-woman tag titles as ‘Tokyo Cyber Squad’ took the belts defeating Mayu Iwatani, Saki Kashima and Tam Nakano to start a new reign for the newest faction in Stardom! Bea Priestly defended her World of Stardom title (red belt) by defeating and somewhat getting redemption against Hazuki who had defeated Priestly in the first round of the Cinderella tournament a week prior. What was a shock though was Momo Watanabe finally losing her Wonder of Stardom title (white belt) after fourteen successful title defences to recent Cinderella tournament winner Arisa Hoshiki. This was a decent show with my personal favourite match being between Toni Storm and Kagetsu which went to a fifteen minute time limit draw. Storm leaves her recent tour of Japan undefeated, no doubt with the instructions coming from New York protecting the NXT UK champion!
MLW Fushion continued to impress with another terrific hour that I always enjoy and Pro Wrestling Journal has my review of the show which not only saw Brian Pillman Jnr defeat Rich Swann for a place in the National Openweight championship tournament, but also featured a super match between Pro wrestling Noah Junior heavyweight champion Minoru Tanaka and Mexican Daga that was technically sound and well worth a look with Tanaka coming out on top.
It took me several days to pluck up the courage to watch ‘Money in the Bank’! However, watching the entire show in one sitting I have to say the show overall was fairly enjoyable. Some decent matches, with also a few not so pleasing, especially the women’s MITB match that was rather sloppy! The winner, Bayley was excellent though, and her cash in after the excellent two title women’s matches between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans, and then Lynch and Charlotte was great booking. Bayley’s crowd celebrations were what made Bayley a star in NXT and I hope WWE keep this Bayley! Also felt that AJ Styles and Seth Rollins had a really good match with Rollins succeeding in his title defence with a clean pin and no shenanigans. As for the men’s money in the bank match, this was a pure spotfest and excellent with all participants putting over a good showing. For me though, the Brock last minute entrance to win the match was not the best idea!

Everything in WWE is t**s in comparison to AEW Double or Nothing. This week nothing else is really worth mentioning except the fact I watched Becky Lynch’s 24 and quite liked it.
