King of Chaos Championship Match – Big Grizzly © def. Jody Fleisch

With the atmosphere at fever pitch the evening kicked off with this excellent effort from two very game competitors, the veteran Fleisch was a worthy challenger for dominant champ Big Grizzly. After last month’s thrilling win over Dick Riley, the bar had been raised for Big Grizzly’s championship matches, therefore once again he pulled it out the bad and delivered another memorable match. The match was fast, furious and bursting out the seams, the plucky challenger kept the tempo high as he waged war with the Welsh behemoth. Fleisch was everywhere and at times Grizz failed to keep up, the momentum early on was with Jody but not for long, when Grizzly got his opportunity he hit hard and grounded his opponent. This was very reminiscent of his encounter with Riley but overall not as good, Fleisch gave it his best but ultimately the champion was retaining. Grizzly grew tired of not being able to put Fleisch away at times, the anguish was all over his face. The momentum swung back and forth before Grizzly finally retained, he hoisted Jody high and planted him with his DoubleChoke Powerbomb for victory. Very good match and effort from both.

Kay Lee Ray def. Shax (Kay Lee Ray replaced and injured Jinny)

With Jinny unable to perform (really did anyone mind) Kay Lee Ray took her place in this now non-title match. The audience welcomed both warmly, the match was good and the improving Shax seems more than happy to in a Chaos ring, she has been a welcome addition to the roster. This was a nice technical affair, the action was good and both competitors played to their strengths, Kay Lee’s height advantage came into play early on with a lock up. The diminutive and very resourceful Shax took the fight to her opponent, after all this was meant to be a Maiden of Chaos title opportunity for her. The action was quick and neither lady had much downtime, the chants were split as the audience seemed to like both. The finish came against the run of play and out of nowhere as Kay Lee pinned Shax, the audience along with Shax were bewildered as the ref slapped the canvas for 3.

All or Nothing 8 Man Tag Elimination Match – Losing team must disband

Modern Culture (Danny Jones, Matt Horgan, Flash Morgan Webster, Dave Mercy) def. The Brotherhood (James Drake, LK Mezinger, Elijah, Bane) This match was a vehicle for the ever-improving Danny Jones, the highly touted young Welshman is on the verge of national exposure. This was easily one of the better multi man tag matches I have seen this year, fast, fluid and full of drama it delivered in spades, the pacing and set pieces were done so well, plus Dave Mercy’s return was timed to perfection. Everyone played their roles to perfection, this match was never destined to stay in the ring as all the competitors brawled around ringside, and the atmosphere was amazing. Matt Horgan to my surprise was the first elimination, this tilted the odds towards the Brotherhood hugely. Bane then followed as Danny Jones rolled him up for a 3 count, Elijah & Mezinger then went to work on Jones before he finally tagged in Morgan Webster to a huge ovation, the audience erupted as he rushed the heels and put his body on the line, he hit LK & Elijah hard with his high-flying style. Flash seemed to have Elijah on the ropes as he planted him with his patented headbutt to the chest, he then ascended the turnbuckle before Drake hit him low, Elijah then took advantage and pinned Flash.

The odds were well and truly stacked in the favour of the Brotherhood now, that was until Dave Mercy, current Chaos owner made a triumphant return to the ring, the audience were on their feet as the self-proclaimed ‘Comeback Kid’ made his way to the ring. Mercy entered the ring and evened the odds as he hit Mezinger and Elijah with dual Cutters, the feeling of euphoria was high. Like many times before James Drake spoiled the party as he pinned Mercy and sent him packing, much to the dismay of Dave and the crowd. The boy then became the man, Danny Jones and James Drake stood across the ring from one another, knowing what was at stake the enemies went toe to toe. They went back and forth, the momentum seemed to settle with Drake as he hit Danny with a huge Dropkick in the corner, he went for his 450 Splash but missed, Danny rallied and levelled Drake with a huge forearm, he then hoisted him up for a Sit Down Piledriver and the ref and audience counted 1, 2, 3…..

The Chaos Rumble – The winner to receive a future King of Chaos Title Match.

Order of Entry: 1. Beano 2. Paul Robinson 3. Oliver Sudden 4. Wild Boar 5. Danny Jones 6. Drew Parker 7. August Jackson 8. Chris Brookes 9. Flash Morgan Webster 10. Mike Bird 11. Panda Cub (Gideon) 12. Los Federales Santos Jnr 13. Eddie Lion 14. Sugar Dunkerton 15. Chief Deputy Dunne 16. Mark Haskins 17. Cara Noir 18. Matt Horgan 19. Dick Riley 20. The rumble was excellent, the timing of the entrants, pivotal moments and eliminations were exceptional. Plaudits to Beano for walking it at number one and making the final four, the return of Mike Bird was a delight, the facials from Drew Parker made clear what is coming in 2019. There were a few debuts, most notably August Jackson who is a very promising wrestler in the South West, he looked really good in his exchanges and fingers crossed he has a bright future in Pro Wrestling Chaos.

I was disappointed not to see Charlie Sterling go further, however the tag team title situation has to be cleared up first. Paul Robinson made a lasting impression on the Chaos roster and audience, he gave a good showing and would be a great addition to the roster next year. The final four were Beano, Haskins, Dennis and Riley, the action in the last ten minutes was exceptional, the audience were on the edge of their seats as the eventual winner was teased. Beano again flexed his talent for all to see, this lad a big future in this business, the exchanges between all four men were very graceful, and after this I want to see Riley and Haskins one on one.

Dennis and Riley eliminated both Beano and Haskins simultaneously, Eddie Dennis looked the strongest at this point, and the audience was split for both men. They went back and forth as the fatigue set in for Riley who looked spent, Eddie hoisted up Dick, the match looked over before Riley rallied and reversed his fortunes as Dennis spilled over the top rope. Winner: Dick Riley

As an exhausted Riley celebrated Champion Big Grizzly stormed the ring, he attacked Riley from behind. He then requested Dick to challenge him there and then. The Rumble winner accepted as the ref called for the bell.

King of Chaos Championship Match – *Title Change* Dick Riley def. Big Grizzly ©

Grizzly lifted up Riley by the throat, he toyed with him before planting him with his DoubleChoke Powerbomb, 1, 2, Dick kicked out, Grizzly was furious. The audience were on their feet, Grizz went on the attack again and lifted up Riley, the tables turned as Dick revered and rolled up the champion for the victory and to become the new King of Chaos.

Finally, Dick Riley is where he belongs
