Triple Main Event
King of Chaos Championship
Big Grizzly © vs Eddie Dennis
This match has been several months in the making, the last time these two met Eddie left injured as Grizzly continued his dominance over the Chaos roster. As Eddie slowly recuperated Big Grizzly went on to cash in his HTTT briefcase, he has defended well against Walter and took on Chris Brooks recently in another winning effort. Dennis did return to action in July and finally settled his yearlong feud with Alex Steele, the match was hard fought and well received and it placed Eddie back on top of the mountain. As good as it was to see Grizzly become the King of Chaos the reign just hasn’t equalled the chase, the reigns of Boar, Webster and Dennis have been difficult to top, it seems the time is right for Eddie to take back what he lost in November 2017. I feel with Eddie’s heightened popularity and rise on the Indy scene outside of Chaos, the decision for him to be Champion is easy to make, and the right one.
No1 Contenders Match
Dick Riley vs Wild Boar
At the start of 2018 I predicted that Dick Riley would be the one to win the HTTT briefcase, unfortunately he didn’t capture it and wasn’t even in the match. After a cracking start to the year against Will Ospreay, his fortunes seemed to slow in the Spring, then in July he was used sparingly in a comedy 6-man tag match. Thankfully he has been placed back where he belongs, his opponent, the Wild Boar has also had a year unworthy of his status. Outside of Chaos, especially at ATTACK Pro and Dragon Pro, Boar has been magnificent, so good in fact that his matches have been the best thing on the card. His relationship with Kaggy in 2018 has been unexplained, the feuds with Gideon and Sierra has resulted in dead ends, therefore as surprising as it is to see him against Riley, the two should produce something very special. Both belong in the title scene; however, Dick is a solid fan favourite and deserves a chance at the Champion.
Mark Haskins vs Pete Dunne
This is an independent dream match, two of the United Kingdom’s best will clash for the first time at Pro Wrestling Chaos. We all know the pedigree of both men, both are as equally talented and brutal in their in-ring approach, Dunne will of course be looking to preserve his aura. Mark Haskins meanwhile will be looking to build on his successful first year in Chaos, after racking up the wins in standout matches Haskins will surely be looking to add to that list. As good as this will be, I’m pulling for a Haskins victory, with his stellar year in the company I would have him defeat Dunne and build on his success. A victory would propel Haskins to the top of the card and surely opportunities against Eddie Dennis, Big Grizzly, Dick Riley and James Drake. Pete Dunne is immune to defeat at this stage, but looking ahead to 2019 the victory should be Mark’s.
James Drake – Mr HTTT 2018
The leader of the Brotherhood is the one anomaly, the current HTTT holder looks set to cause an upset sooner rather than later. With Eddie Dennis as a strong favourite to win back his title, the stage is set for Drake to turn that dream into a nightmare, the Brotherhood make huge statements and nothing could be bigger than cashing in on a valiant Eddie Dennis this Saturday.
Maybe just maybe, Mr Drake should watch his back because Elijah, Mezinger, a recently turned Drew Parker and Eddie Dennis all have nothing to prove…..
