We get right to the action this week with the Lucha House Party coming out for the opening bout against Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher.
Tag Team Match
The Lucha House Party Vs Kendrick & Gallagher
As has been established previously, the tag team inside of this trio is Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado. Their opponents come out, and Kendrick is sporting some new black tights with a gold chain design, matching his entrance jacket. Before the match can get under way, Drew Gulak makes his way out wearing a suit. Gulak joins the commentary team to offer some insight into why he is out there.
Last week, Gulak defeated Kalisto in singles action. Both teams in this match are coming off of wins over the team of Itami & Tozawa, and looking to move into the top spot in 205 Live’s non-existant tag team division. Prior to WrestleMania, there were rumors that Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships were inbound, with the belts reportedly already having been created.
Since then, 205 Live has been doing a good job of strengthening the upcoming division, but may have made a misstep by prematurely ending the tandem of Itami & Tozawa. We will have to see how that plays out.
Dorado and Gallagher had a really fun exchange to start the match, but the heels are in control now as they work over the left arm of Gran Metalik. Metalik finally gets over to Dorado for the hot tag, and the Golden Lynx is taking over, using his speed to try and take the advantage. Kendrick & Gallagher put a stop to that though, knock Metalik off the apron and double team Dorado. Kendrick connects with Sliced Bread #2, and Gallagher covers, but Metalik makes it just in time to break the pinfall.
The Lucha House Party comes together and take out their opponents on the outside with Tope Suicida’s, in stereo. Dorado goes up top and connects with the Shooting Star Press on Gallagher to pick up the win in our opening contest.

Mustafa Ali has some words for Buddy Murphy, calling him a bully, a monster, and a human barrier. He says that as talented as Murphy is though, he is Mustafa Ali, and he will go on to win in tonight’s main event.
Backstage, Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese are shown talking. Nese wishes Murphy luck before leaving, and Dasha Fuentes comes in to ask Murphy about his match. The Best Kept Secret says that since he arrived in 205 Live, he’s become unstoppable, and that won’t change tonight.
Singles Match
Tony Nese Vs Keith Clayball
This one is definitely going to be a showcase for Nese, who seems to have fallen back into his arrogant ways, counting eight reasons on his washboard stomach why 205 Live is his show. As expected, Nese is dominating this match, throwing Clayball around and now hanging him in the Tree of Woe for some stomps. Nese lays down to do some abdominal work as he bicycles his feet into the chest of his opponent.
Clayball tries to mount a comeback, but just gets absolutely run over by Nese. The Premier Athlete dominates the rest of the match, finishing it off with the brutal Running Knee to the corner for the win.

Hideo Itami is spotlighted here, talking about how he came to WWE to prove that he was a star. Itami says that he did not like teaming with Akira Tozawa, because he didn’t understand why he needed a partner. Hideo says that Tozawa made a big mistake, insinuating that the two will come face to face sooner than later.
Backstage, Cedric Alexander approaches GM Drake Maverick. The GM wants to make sure that Alexander won’t play a part in tonight’s main event match. Cedric says that he will sit in the back and enjoy, because he got his licks in last week in response to Murphy’s previous attack. Maverick says that’s not the only reason he wanted to talk to him. Next week, 205 Live takes place in England, and the 205 Live roster will be going head to head with some of the stars of the WWE United Kingdom contingent.
Singles Match
Mustafa Ali Vs Buddy Murphy
Ali defeated Murphy in the tournament to crown the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion before WrestleMania, and Murphy is looking to get that win back tonight and continue his momentum towards a shot at Alexander and the Championship.
Early on, Murphy seems to be intent on trying to replicate last week’s success as he continues to try for the Powerbomb trifecta that TKO’d his opponent. Ali knows that’s the game plan though, and counters each time. Murphy gains the upper hand outside of the ring, connecting with his trademark Running Suplex on the floor.
Continuing the attack on the back of Ali is what Murphy is up to now, sending him back and forth between the turnbuckles and emphasizing the damage with a couple of brutal kicks to the spine. Mustafa starts to mount a comeback, and absolutely dazzles with an innovative, very unique version of a Tilt-a-Whirl DDT, where Murphy was caught between the middle and top ropes, driving Murphy head first into the canvas for a two count.
Ali puts Murphy up on the top turnbuckle, looking for an Avalanche Suplex, but Murphy counters and dumps him face first to the mat, connecting with a brutal Knee Strike and following up with a Powerbomb lift into a Sitout DDT for a near-fall.
Ali with a quick Jacknife Pin for a two count, but he tries for a kick and Murphy catches it, lifting him up into a Powerbomb, followed by another… and then a third. The ref is checking on Ali, who is shaking his head slowly at the official to say that he’s not done yet. Murphy picks him back up and goes for another Powerbomb, but Ali counters it into a sick looking X-Factor that Murphy took on the top of his head.
The Best Kept Secret wouldn’t be defeated though, as he kicks out and continues the match. Ali looks to be trying for an Avalanche Hurricanrana to the outside, but Murphy shoves him off. Ali lands on his feet in a backflip, and catches Murphy leaping off the turnbuckle with a perfectly timed Superkick. Mustafa rolls him back in and goes for the cover, but Murphy gets his foot on the rope.
In a throwback to their tournament match, Ali goes for a 450 Splash onto the outstretched arm of Murphy, but Buddy saw it coming and makes him pay by destroying the left arm of Ali in return. Mustafa gets caught by Murphy while going for the Leaping Tornado DDT, and then falls victim to Murphy’s Law, as The Best Kept Secret continues his dominant ways on 205 Live.

-Another good show from 205 Live this week. They do seem to be falling back into the habit of not utilizing more of their roster, as since the tournament ended, it seems like we are seeing mostly the same guys every week. On a two or three hour show, that isn’t so much of a problem, but 205 Live is one hour every week, and the roster is large enough that we really shouldn’t be seeing guys wrestling on back to back weeks.
Next week’s show will include some WWE United Kingdom talent, so that should be a fun little romp.
